Glamour Women Of The Year Awards – Who Won And Who Lost

June 4, 2014

Stars have flaunted filled the red carpet with colour, flowers and MORE than a little nakedness for another successful Glamour Women of The Year Awards.

From Eliza Doolittle flashing her knickers, to Naomi Campbell going tassel mad and Amanda Holden showing us the meaning of plunging, we’ve seen it all.

Leading the winners of the 2014 bash was Paloma Faith, who took home the big prize for UK Solo Artist. And she dressed to impress in a black sweeping gown and statement red lippy – keen to leave a lasting impression. Lady in red Naomi won TV Personality, and we hope she takes the opportunity to shake all those tassels on stage, and International Solo Artist went to Taylor Swift.

Coordinated and seriously sexy ladies Little Mix won the Band category, while  was the star of the show, giving a tremendous speech – including a shockingly rude joke, naturally – as she accepted the Glamour Icon Award.

So when Dame Helen took to the stage to collect her gong from actor Ryan Reynolds, she couldn’t hold back, asking the guests at the glitzy bash: “If I’m an icon this year, by next year am I kind of de-iconised?” The Oscar-winning actress – who was joined at the ceremony by the likes of Naomi Campbell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Claudia Winkleman – also said she loved getting older.

Not all of the winners could be present though, and Nicole Kidman accepted her prize via video link, while wearing her pyjamas. The annual event is in its eleventh year, and last year’s winners included Victoria Beckham, Rita Ora, Clare Balding, Miranda Hart, Jessie J, and more.
