In a recent interview, one pop princess shared some insight on her battle with an eating disorder, that targets many young girls and women in the world.
“Thinking about it I try not to well up. It is such a horrible paralyzing disease and it was such a dark time for me. That’s why I can empathize so much with people who have demons and voices in their heads, who aren’t nice to themselves. It robs you of living your life.”
The X factor judge explained how, even though it seemed that she had everything and was in control, bulimia got so bad she started losing her voice. She was also found passed out on the floor on more than one occasion.
Everyone was clueless, including her fellow Pussycat Dolls. The group split in 2010, after 6 years of huge chart-success and 50 million records sold worldwide.
Nicole came out with her eating disorder story in 2012.
