International superstar Shakira and soccer player Gerard Pique are expecting another child! The “Whenever, Wherever” singer and Pique already have a 19-month-old son Milan. The pair has been together for years.

Shakira tweeted on August 28th: “Yes, we are expecting our second baby!! Thank you all for your well wishes,” thus confirming the great news.

Speculations rose when she was seen showing the first signs of pregnancy, a little, growing baby bump. Further rumors suggest that the A-list pair is expecting another baby boy. The little bundle of “waka waka” will definitely have a wonderful older brother, who was born on 22 January 2013 in Barcelona.

Shakira is absolutely delighted with motherhood. She often posts pictures of Milan giggling and travelling with his parents. He even made a stage debut during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The World Cup probably brought happy memories to the couple, because they actually met during Shakira’s promotion of her 2010 World Cup anthem “Waka Waka – Time For Africa.”

Regarding the event, the famous singer said she will never forget that she met the love of her life at the World Cup. “If it wasn’t for the World Cup my son Milan would not be here.”

Milan recently showed off his own football skills when he appeared in a charity video kicking a ball, while being encouraged by his proud mother.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer added that he has completely changed her outlook. She said that everything is different now, and the biggest change is that she thinks about the future more: “What the world will be like for him when he grows up?”

Regarding her relationship, Shakira said in a recent interview that “the balance of power is equal” between her and Gerard, 27, adding: “Relationships have to have a give and take if they’re going to work in the long term.”

Shakira made headlines when she said her racy duet with Rihanna for “Can’t Remember To Forget You” had come about because of Gerard.

“He’s very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women,” she said jokingly, but the press took is very serious, as that usually happens.

The Colombian bombshell later explained the awkward situation: “It’s funny, when I made those comments; it was really in a lighthearted, humorous way. I was surprised to see that it was taken so seriously in the press. Gerard doesn’t tell me what to do. We discuss everything as a couple, as I imagine most partners do. We have a beautiful relationship and one of mutual trust.”
